Checking Criminal History in Strasburg

The Strasburg Police Department reports 18 full-time officers, three part-time officers, and two administrative assistants. Its King Street office is the local source for police-created material. Depending on the event and lawful limits, that may include an incident report, arrest report, or call-related record. The department, not the county sheriff, is the natural first custodian when a Strasburg officer created the file.
Describe the record, not a theory about the event. Useful details include the incident number, date and time range, location, names needed for identification, and the type of file sought. Active investigative details, juvenile information, victim or witness data, confidential sources, and safety-sensitive facts may be withheld or redacted. Strasburg has no municipal jail. After a custodial arrest, Strasburg Police ordinarily transports the person into the regional custody system. The published General District calendar gives Strasburg a distinct court rhythm. Town matters appear on the second and fourth Mondays, while Woodstock uses the first and third Mondays and New Market uses the first Friday morning. The Virginia State Police SP-167 process is the official statewide name-based history route for the general public. It is not an anonymous instant search. The subject must consent and provide a notarized signature, and another recipient’s signature may also need notarization.
